Event Branding • Identity and Broadcast Assets

In preparation for the world launch of the mobile only iteration of Electronic Art’s beloved Command & Conquer franchise, EA produced an internal event, pitting developers vs developers. Known for our ability to turn around assets quickly, and efficiently, while maintaining a high level of quality, Number29 was contracted to bring the event to life with branding and broadcast assets. With only 24 hours to execute the design & animations, including all team and player photos, we jumped in feet first and knocked this out of the park.

BRAND DEVELOPMENT • Logo Study & Execution

Number29 was contracted to assist in the development of the Vainglory Premier League logo before the inaugural season was to kick-off in June 2018.

The client provided a loose sketch, representing a general direction to explore that had been approved by internal shareholders. The sketch was an evolution of the 2017 Vainglory8 logo and identity, fracturing the shield into 5 bands on each side of the Vainglory dagger, signifying the switch to 5v5 and the evolution of the league.

We began the process by producing a handful of sketches within Procreate. These sketches were then culled down and taken into Adobe Illustrator, where we developed 4 different design concepts, with a full range of color options and executions, resulting in 36 different logo treatments.

These logo treatments were delivered to the client, resulting in the final solution being decided.
